Organizational Commitment
The Mise En Place Project is deeply committed to fostering diversity, equity, access, and inclusion (DEAI) at all levels of our organization and across all programming and events we produce. As a nonprofit rooted in Jersey City, New Jersey, we believe that authentic community programming begins with reflecting the communities we serve in our leadership, our staff, our artists, our vendors, and our audiences.
This policy applies to all events, markets, festivals, and educational workshops produced or co-produced by the Mise En Place Project.
Non-Discrimination Commitment​
The Mise En Place Project unequivocally prohibits discrimination and harassment on the basis of any protected characteristic in all aspects of our organization and programming. This commitment applies to:

Complaint Procedure
Any person who believes they have experienced discrimination or harassment in connection with a Mise En Place Project event or program may submit a complaint by:

Emailing info@miseenplaceproject.org with the subject line "DEAI Complaint"

Contacting the on-site event coordinator at any Mise En Place Project event
All complaints will be acknowledged within 48 hours and investigated promptly. The Executive Director will provide a written response within 30 days of receiving a complaint. Retaliation against any person who files a complaint in good faith is strictly prohibited.
